The Importance of Good Attendance

At Robin Hood we value good attendance and punctuality as we believe that this sets children up for success.  When children are in school, on time they are far more likely to be ready for their learning.  Attendance and punctuality are also key life skills which help to support and increase employability.  Please speak to your child’s class teacher in the first instance if you have any concerns about supporting your child’s attendance and punctuality.

Supporting School Attendance

At Robin Hood Primary and Nursery School are are aware that there may be barriers to achieving good attendance and we are keen to work with families to support with this.

Please see the following video and leaflet from Achieving for Children which provides helpful information on Emotionally Related School Avoidance.

If you feel that your child's attendance is being impacted by ERSA, please speak to your child's class teacher who will then discuss ways in which we can support with the SENDCo.
